Energy
We are adept in assisting energy clients with the various aspects of commercial transactions, including land acquisition or leasing, public land use, zoning, permitting, environmental compliance, right-of-way agreements, and financing options. We have represented energy clients before the Nevada Public Utilities Commission and advised clients on interconnection and power purchase agreements. The firm has also represented power clients in bankruptcy court proceedings, restructurings and work-outs.
Environment and Natural Resources
We assist clients in all environmental aspects of commercial transactions, including management of environmental due diligence; environmental compliance and permitting; public land use issues including NEPA and FLMPA compliance, as well as appeals to the Interior Board of Land Appeals; acquisition and management of mining properties and minerals; and negotiation with various administrative agencies, including the Bureau of Land Management, NV Division of Environmental Protection, and others. We have represented clients in environmental and natural resources litigation including CERCLA and RCRA enforcement actions. The firm has extensive knowledge and counsels clients on all aspects of water law, including the acquisition and transfer of water rights; and water quality issues.
