Mr. Musgrove has 25 years’ experience in the fields of communications, labor relations, and government affairs advocacy both in the private and public sector. He has successfully negotiated labor contracts; developed and executed communication strategies, and has successfully delivered on major legislative and government relations advocacy strategies on a city, county, state and federal level.
Prior to joining the McDonald Carano Wilson Government Affairs Groups in 2007, Mr. Musgrove served as the chief legislative advocate for Clark County, Nevada and the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. His responsibility was to seek enactment of legislative proposals of the elected officials that he represented as well as to respond to local, state, and federal legislation that could affect both Clark County and University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. He also previously served in a similar capacity for the City of Las Vegas.
Mr. Musgrove is a native Nevadan, having been born in Reno and residing in Las Vegas since 1971. A graduate of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas with a degree in Communications, he spent ten years as the personnel director for the 1400 union employees of Silver State Disposal in Las Vegas and serving as a management representative on a union health trust, and a board member for the Nevada Self-Insured Association. He is currently a member of the Southern Nevada Mental Health Advisory Committee, which was created to resolve the crisis of overcrowding in hospital emergency rooms, and a board member for Westcare of Nevada, a non-profit health and human services organization.
